Account Director/Producer Commercial Insurance

We are looking for an Account Director to join our team. As the Account Director you will be responsible and accountable for management of a profitable commercial portfolio in addition to business development.

You will form part of our well-established sales team who collaborate together in order to drive sales results and provide our clients with the best-in-class experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business by earning referrals from existing clients and strategic networking contacts.
  • Maintain a high level of retention of existing client portfolio.
  • Work closely, collaboratively, and respectfully with our Service Team.
  • Be the lead in presenting accurate and timely renewal and new business proposals to clients and prospects.
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation of underwriting submissions and appropriate documentation for various accounts and/or correspondence in conjunction with Customer Service Reps.
  • Develop account strategies, presentations, and other forms of communication with clients and prospects.
  • Align with and live by the company’s mission, vision, values.
  • Participate in industry functions and networking events.
  • Maintain professional market relationships.

Candidate Requirements

  • A sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Minimum 10 years experience exclusively in Commercial Insurance.
  • Minimum Level 2 license (insurance designation, CAIB or CIP preferred), or working towards.
  • Experience with Directors and Officers placements preferred.
  • Strong communication skills; listening, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well independently, as part of a team, and with others throughout the company.
  • Positive attitude and a desire to grow.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

Commercial Account Manager 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain book of business of Commercial Accounts.
  • Process C/L renewals, endorsements, cancellations, certificates, bonds, invoicing etc.
  • Policy renewals and follow up on expiry dates
  • Work directly with clients to maintain active files, re: client business, contacts, changes etc.
  • Communicate with Insurers regarding new business & renewal terms, underwriting, inspections, stock reports, appraisals, statement of values and other underwriting forms
  • Writing & issuing all bonds, glass policies and special events.
  • Follow up abeyances and accounts receivable.
  • Follow up on preferred leads or take new business calls.

Candidate Requirements

  • Level 2 license with minimum 3 years current experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance
  • Ability to Multi-task, detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal & written).
  • Great computer skills including EPIC, outlook, word and excel.
  • Committed to professional development to enhance skills & abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Work in collaborative team environment & have the ability to work independently as well.

Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager

Responsibilities

  • Maintain book of business
  • Meet with clients
  • Policy renewals and follow up on expiry dates
  • Work directly with clients to maintain active files, re: client business, contacts, changes etc.
  • Communicate with Insurers regarding new business & renewal terms, underwriting, inspections, appraisals, statement of values and other underwriting forms
  • Follow up abeyances and accounts receivable
  • Occasionally follow up on preferred leads or take New business calls

Candidate Requirements

  • Level 2 license with minimum 3 years current experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of  respective insurance specialties: commercial insurance or personal lines
  • Ability to multi-task, detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (both verbal & written)
